Cycling the Lake (Geneva)

Ok here goes, I started out in June with my new bike, I wanted to lose some weight (I have lots to spear) and get a little fitter. Well the time has come for my big summer challenge,
It’s a one day cycle tour of the lake. Not a short distance I know, it’s actually around 175km but here is the plan

The route I intend to take is Lausanne, Evian, Geneva, Lausanne. Clockwise if you will.
The plan is to start at 8.00am on Saturday 15th of September in Ouchy just by the bus stops.
I would love not to do this on my own and I'm looking for some people that fancy a challenge.

However here is the thing, I’m not fast, not fast at all J so if you do want to come along please bear in mind that I cant keep up with 35km all the way around, I hope you don’t mind going at an average pace of around 25km/h. there will be stops when people get tired and regular places where you can take the train or boat home.

Some good news for those of you that think 175km is way too far. The route can be split into three, Lausanne to Evian(~60km), Evian to Geneva(~60km), Geneva to Lausanne(~60km),
It’s entirely possible to take the boat back to Lausanne from Evian or the train back to Lausanne from Geneva and at most places in between,

So if you want to come along please do,
Reply to this thread and let me know if you are coming so I know how many people to expect, and if you have any questions

Sam
