Re: Competitive cycling in Zurich

In Zürich, Velo Elsener (http://www.velo-elsener.ch/) in Seefeldstr. do tours at 18:30 on a Tuesday evening.
Update: From the website, it looks like this ride is now on Wednesday evenings, and alternates weekly between road bikes or mountain bikes (http://www.velo-elsener.ch/index.asp?l=1&p=5).

Has anyone done this ride? I am curious what the general speed and route is like.

Personally I like a group ride to push me harder than I would normally push myself (to see how long I can hang on!). Usually that means riding with mostly guys, but I'm used to that... Cover an interesting route with few cars, and sprinkle it with a few hill KOMs, and it's so much fun you don't even think about exercise

Anyone know of a good road bike group ride around the Zurich area that might apply?
