| For those married to a Swiss, did you have to get permission before moving to another canton? Or do you just deregister at the one and register at the new one with your Swiss partner with no advance "anything" required?
I appreciate any input on this.

When you sign out of your old community, they'll ask you where you are moving to and then stamp your permit that you're moving to another canton/community and fill in the name of the community you're moving to. You'll then have to take your permit, passport and proof of marriage to the new community within two weeks, iirc.
I just did this a couple months ago.
