I am in the process of getting myself familiar with the satellite channel receivers.

I want to downlink a channel from Eurobird 9A at 9°E.

This is a free channel. The Channel owners suggest to buy a dish and install and it should work !

Is that so easy to downlink free channels ?

Frequency: 11.919 GHz
Polarity: Vertical
Symbol Rate: 27500Msps
FEC: 3 / 4
Downlink Signal: MPEG2


Can anyone suggest, how and where should I get started ?
I asked my Hausverwaltung and it's no problem to install a receiver on my balcony !
