| Have you thought about (buying a gasmask and) going through the gotthard tunnel ? The highway through the tunnel is a pretty easy road, no vertigo inducing big drops or things like this. Another option may be to scoot through along Chur and go across the San Bernadino, also an easy trip.
I don't know when you graduate but, maybe by then the cartrains are running through the new gotthard tunnel (similar to channel tunnel, ride scoot on train, wait 30 min, emerge in Ticino) | |

and actually I probably need another 2 years to finish so the car train might be there by then! That would be awesome
