But, anyway, you did survive!

There's a bit in Ranulph Fiennes's autobiography where he tells a story of when he went on a parachuting course in France. By his own admission, his French wasn't very good.
When told about a night-time jump that they were all going to do, he thought they said they were going to land in a lake (and when you do this, you release from your parachute a few metres about the water so you don't get tangled in your chute).
He was a bit shaken and shocked when he landed on a tarmac runway instead!
Thanks Tom! but yes I did survive..In fact I even enjoyed it! But it would be great if there were few more English speaking people around although the last part of the climb was a little challenging for me due to bad weather.
