Those collars must be awful for dogs; both of my parent's dogs had a spell in lampshade hell and I think they were also disturbed by the weird sound effects. Dogs with their sensitive hearing must feel like they are wearing some echoey loudspeaker / satellite dish around their heads which must be most disconcerting.
