Hi there, new member here.

I browsed through this thread looking for an answer to my question but didn't see anything described that is similar to my situation.

I have a USA Instruction Permit (not a full license, it's the one where you can drive a car as long as someone is in the front seat next to you) that expired in September of 2007. I got it in 2006 before I moved to Switzerland but never got around to completing the driver's test in the US.

My question is, is an expired learner's permit worth anything here? I know how to drive a car, I did my time in driver's ed and paid for it all already in the US, etc. Can I exchange it for some type of swiss learner's permit/temporary license or do I really have to start all over again from scratch?
