| No panic there. Swiss shops are very customer friendly when it comes to this kind of things. Upon thorough and logical explanation they will understand and even exchange it without a receipt. Had once this kind of experience with Wii console accessories and they didn't even let me show any proof unless of course you look like you robbed the mall | |

Yea, Interdiscount has been especially good at returns/exchanges in my experience. Hopefully they'll do an exchange without a receipt, we'll see. At least it's only 20CHF, not a major deal.
I'm also wondering if they had a mass problem with this drive?...or if my case is isolated? (Partly the reason I posted this here, to see if anyone else had this problem)

| Does it have U3 installed on it ? Maybe you have just formatted the boot partition and the hidden partition cannot be accessed. If so, got to the U3 site and get the software to remove U3 , or reinstall U3 again. | |

No, the first drive I had was clean. I really don't think it's any partition issue. Every test I made on the drive is showing it as 256MB, and no errors or anything like that. Never saw anything like this, and I've had dozens of drives in my life.
