Hello,

I'm a 42 yr old Brit married to a Swiss (but he has lived away for 12 years and his mother claims I have made him more British than Swiss which is a good thing I think !!).

We are currently living in the US and planning to move to Switzerland next year. We will build a home and the plan is to stay there.... Well thats the plan for now !!

We have moved a fair bit and the idea of having everything we own inside a house we also own is very appealing. Although I am a little nervous about being so close to family, learning German, and also being in a culture where it appears everybody interferes in your business right down to complaining about the contents of your rubbish bins. (we have Swiss friends who we visit a lot and some of the stories they tell me with serious faces leave me in stitches laughing !)

I am about to trawl through these forums for advice on just about everything in preparation for the move. The Swiss organizational skills have clearly rubbed off on me .
