I tried to switch to them, given that they provide insurance also for foreign researchers, but they inform me that I couldn't join them due to the time I spent already in Switzerland (I arrived in Sept. 2005). This is unfortunately not mentionned on their website, so beware when comparing prices! | |

Really?! I'm very surprised at that as the amount of time you're in Switzerland doesn't have any bearing on whether you can have this insurance or not.
You can be a foreign student for years and remain on foreign student insurance.
When did you try to change over to them?
