really? sorry but I never understand how a baby can catch a cold from drafts air con etc... surely catching a cold is from bugs? plus I've had our air con on over the past few weeks and baby has not caught cold
I think is not because of the air conditioner itself, but because when the weather is so hot outside and you bring the baby to a cold atmosphere, then it can happen. Coincidence or not, last week we were walking out and then I entered a migro to buy some cheese and it was so cold, my 2 boys started to sneeze and the next day we all started with cold symptoms

Can't say I'm an expert but you could visit one of the centres for asylum seekers and ask some of the African ladies how they coped....
Could you explain me why would someone have to go to an asylum center to find african ladies?

OP, the natural way with shadows is the best, I often go to wipkingen playground and sit under a tree shadow, for baby2 and me i lay a blanket on the grass and it feels sooooo fresh, and baby1 plays around the little fountains with the rest on the little kids. going in and out of places with AC is not the best idea IMO. Also lots of fresh water to keep you both hydrated.
Let us know if you try one of the tips and how it went.
happy sunny days, I would worry more about the winter
