Haven't had good experience with TV over the internet, but I just purchased a Slingbox and have a friend in the states with a satellite system that will be sharing his signal with me. He is setting it up this week and I should then be able to watch any U.S. tv show through my computer.

Electronic stores also sell Slingbox in Europe so if you can find someone (parents, relatives, friend) to let you hook up the Slingbox in your homeland you can watch anything that comes across their cable system or satellite.

I move to Switzerland the 21st of this month so I will be providing an update on how effective the Slingbox works once I have had a chance to use it for a couple weeks.

Best part of the whole deal is NO monthyl fees...although the Slingbox was a hefty $229 USD from BestBuy
