Get your eyes tested by your local eye doctor. Swiss basic health insurance pays for this.
This is not true. The regulations were changed this year. Now glasses are no longer covered by basic insurance

From Group Mutuell:
Quote:
Translation:
For many people with visual impairment it is important to be able to count on an additional insurance, which reliably covers the costs for glasses and lenses. Such an [additional] insurance is even more important, since the compulsory health insurgence no longer covers any costs for glasses and lenses.

As basic insurance is regulated by law. The coverage will be more or less the same with any insurer.
