Shortly the winter season of whisky events presented by Friends of Classic Malts will be upon us. This time round the lead whisky will be Caol Ila a particu larly good Islay malt - full of peat

I will post the dates when they are out and also for those partial to a drop of the amber nectar there will also be a Whisky and Dine, Whisky and Cheese and Caol Ila vertical as well as the degustation. As I understand it this time round chocolate (Sprungli) will also be on the agenda with the theme whisky and chocolate.
Cost for the degustation ca 100 whiskies will be SFr. 30 the other things except the vertical are always more whisky and dine is typicall 99-129 Francs...
Locations are noble hotels in St.Gallen, Winterthur, Zurich, Bern, Aarau, Basel, lucerne and lugano. There are also Swiss French cities if anyone is interested. Dates are usually end of November start of December...
