Pepper - interesting what you mention about not taking off in the morning, that's actually exactly what I was hoping to do - take off 2 mornings a week. Mainly because I find myself being more productive if there's an definite time when I need to be doing something else. But I'll keep that point in mind.

Anyone have thoughts about what the standard is for reducing benefits? I assume that they would be reduced somehow, as well as salary, but I don't know how.

I agreee with Pepper. It's much easier to organise yourself taking off the afternoons. Your company will most probably reduce the benefits according to the reduction of the working hours, but to be sure you have to consult you HR.
