I'm going to go skiing for the first time soon, probably at Flumserberg and have read on their website about the numerous places to rent gear. From what I can work out it would be approx 39CHF for skis (doesn't mention poles?) and 19CHF for boots for the day - so 60CHF total. I don't think this is too bad, but does anyone have an opinion? Are there much cheaper places in town?

Given that the first time I go will be the first weekend in Feb, and I will maybe go 5-6 times between now and easter (going to try every weekend) I'm not 100% sure on the season rental. Do they discount the season rental for hiring part way through?

Also, I know at the Intersport near Flums they do discounts for hiring for several days? Presumably these are consecutive days only. It would be great to arrange to hire for 5 times, and then do 5 Saturdays running (for example) - but I'm presuming nobody offers this?
