| Probably it's very familiar term to many expats who make use of such privilege offered by employer. For those who it isn't, it basically provides an option of working one day a week at home instead of at the office, which it usually falls on Fridays. I had chat with my mates in SA and they claim this kind of practice is seldom heard of in their respective places of employment. Btw: we are talking industrial jobs here. It would not be in place and rather chutzpah to ask stressed employer with already tight schedule who usually pushes for overtime instead.
It would be nice to hear your opinion on such facility. Use but not abuse some would point out. How is it viewed in Switzerland by your companies and workmates? | |

Depends on the employer really.
You get the old fashioned employers whose idea of staff management is to make sure people sit at their desks for x hours per day but they have no clue what the people are actually doing.
BTW I did not answer the poll because the questions seem to be biased against home office.
Or you have more modern employers who give their staff a list of deliverables & it is irrelevant where they do the work so long as they deliver.
I believe all the studies show more pros for home working/home office than cons, for example
