tvcatchup uses FLV format.

Downloading their FLV stream isn't so straightforward because most FLV downloaders, plugins etc.. don't work for the site - even the very good DownloadHelper FireFox addon does NOT work.

However I have just used orbitdownloader and it works for tvcatchup

Hint: after installing orbitdownloader, when playing a recording in tvcatchup, look for the download symbol (located at the frames top right corner) and use that to kick off the required download.
