Hi,
An extension till end of November is no problem as long as you ask for it before the end of March.
Is the bill for Bundessteuer or Staats- und Gemeindesteuer? Bundessteuer will have to be paid by the end of March. With Staats- und Gemeindesteuer it depends: If it's a "provisorische Rechnung" or "Zahlungsempfehlung" -> you can pay whenever you want, but the earlier you pay the more interest you'll get...
or if it's a "definitive Schlussrechnung" which has to be paid within 30 days or else you'll have to pay 4,5% interest.
