Re: Expats in Zurich...full of Swissies?

Hi, there
Thanks a lot for your so friendly and uplifting postings and the invitation to your forum. I am the person, and this year, I have started organizing events for singles over thirty, but also general events free for everyone. Things we did included movies, drinks, a concert, exhibitions, a trip to the Lucerne Fasnacht. The idea is just to bring people together, without the pressure of dating, but also without feeling like the fifth wheel on the car.

However, some people have reacted very strongly, both on the Expats list and off the list. While I had had some doubt as to whether I should expose myself like that, I had not expected pages of emails with psychological analyses of my personality. But I have also received great support from people who joined my events and even some who did not. Thank you so much - I had also not expected that!

I am looking forward to being part of this forum, and I hope to meet some of you in person.

Kind regards
Idgie

P.S. Just in case you are interested: The singles over thirty are meeting on Sunday, March 19, at 7 p.m. at the SKEBE bar in Zurich, near Bellevue, and some will go to the Christo exhibition thereafter.
