Thank you for all your advice. Regarding Sydney I have never been there before and it is so costly to move there plus if we didn't settle there we could never return to the UK due to the amount of money we would have to put into moving to OZ. Also I can't even get my family to come from Ireland to the UK let alone OZ it would always be up to me as it is now to do all the travelling home.

I have lived in Geneva before, along time ago as an Au pair and this is where i meet my partner as he grew up in Nyon. I have always enjoyed my visits there and hate having to return home.

I'm so determinded not to bring my kids up in the UK as i never wanted to move here and to offer them a better quaility of life that I will try local schools with them and see how it goes. On this note with my basic salary before comission we should be ok. My employer will cover full medical costs for me and a % for the kids which is a great help. The hard part is finding somewhere to live as mentioned previously its difficult to find rentals in Geneva/Vaud at present. I'm happy to commute up to 45 mins. I like the area of Versoix but its very expensive to rent there.

Regarding childcare I have roped my sister into coming to stay for 12 months till she decides on where she wants to go to college. I will pay her an allowence for her time etc.

All in all it was a risk coming to London 3 years ago and I have done ok here, if I can hack it in London I think I can do ok in Geneva at least people are friendly and polite. ( i won't get into this for if I get started I won't stop) I have to travel to see my employer in 2 weeks time so I will keep you guys posted on the outcome I'm trying to get them to sort a rental for me so fingers crossed.

As long as I can get my kids into school, start my job and make friends than I will be a happy bunny.
