| in the land of clocks i need a watch repaired. it's an Omega so good quality and sentimental to me so i want to fix it. Anyone any experience of getting a watch repaired - Zurich area. I don't want to go to jewellers in the Bahnofstrasse for obvious reasons.

OK , properly this time ....
If you have an original watch , I would not just trust it with anyone . The guys in bahnhofstr. guarantee their work and parts . Prices are quite steep but seeing this is Switzerland , I don't think you would find any other decent ones much cheaper ( around CHF 640 to service/repair a rolex oyster but the prices are fixed ; there is a catalogue where they read off the model number and price ) .
