In response to a honking horn, I always wave and smile. Once I even had a car with a group of young ladies stop since they assumed they must know me!

For other abuse I am always amazed at how often I have the chance to catch the perpertater at traffic lights. A tap on the window tends to scare the living daylights out of these people.
