Mmmm, this has inspired me to mention the place we went last Saturday. We were watching a few games at our facourite pub, and decided to find a place nearby to eat before rejoining the pub for a few beers. There was this little Indian place on Elisabetenstr. that did an all you can eat buffet... It was fantastically delicious too..... Don't know how long it's been open, but definitely worth a visit if you're looking for curry in Basel.
