Busted!

I know for a fact (however, not directly) that the Swiss go after rental car drivers in their home country. First a letter, second a stricter letter, third the officials are contacted.

Customers of mine were flashed three times in one week and the registered driver was not allowed to rent a car the next trip around till he paid all fines. Then he started getting the nasty-grams in the mail.

Needless to say, he now has a chauffeur when he is in Switzerland


My suggestion: Send a photo of yourself and your friend to the cops, if they have the frontal photo then you are cleared! If not, then they will come after you. If your friend does not admit and pay up.... say good bye to your license and your 13th month bonus
