| Hmmmmmmmmm, none of this makes me feel better. I do some editing work at home, just a little, not making a fortune, but I enjoy it. I have just been told that I have reached my maximum amount I can earn, before declaring myself as self employed, and paying my own tax or AVS. I do not know how to go about it, and am starting to wonder if it will even be worth it. Should I pay someone to do it for me ?
Any advice appreciated

Our understanding is that as an independent (self-employed), you are legally obliged to declare this and the tax payable and AVS contributions need to be paid. Whether it is worth it or not is probably anly a decision you can make!
You need a reputable and legitimate independent financial adviser to talk to and we can certainly assist in that way.
