In 2002 I received three fines from traffic photo cameras in the USA. I subsequently purchased a PhotoBlocker PhotoShields for my car and have received no traffic citations in the past 6+ years from a traffic photo camera.

I'm not certain of the legality of these shields but they are unobtrusive and I have never been stopped or questions by any police about my car being equipped with the product.

They are inexpensive (about 40 SFR) and come in sizes for European plate as well as USA/Canada/ Mexico which are all the same size.
