I've just moved out to Zurich - literally I arrived yesterday - from looking my finances etc CHF4000 with half your accomodation wouldnt be to bad but it wouldnt leave you much for doing things, but if you are going to get more after a short period then I'd say give it a shot - Zurich is a great city.
