Ouch, I would strongly suggest you get it checked out either at the hospital or by your doctor. Better safe than sorry. make sure you get some professional advice as you don't want to be going round with a floppy toe now would you. They may also be able to prescribe you stronger pain killers if necessary.

I had a fractured bone in one of my big toes many years ago. Car went over it. I had to go back and have it X-rayed a few times to make sure it was not going to cause any problems and was healing ok. Took 6 weeks.
