Hello everyone,

Some quick info;
My wife and I will be moving to the Baden area in August.
I’m from Michigan USA originally but have lost a place I call home for some time now.
Lived and traveled in Europe, South America and America for two year while working for Disney on Ice.

Lived in Germany for over 8 years

Now live in Almeria Spain, just over a year now.


My wife (Auxi) is from Gran Canaria de Las Palmas. We became friends while we both lived in Aschaffenburg, Germany (near Frankfurt) some 12 years ago. Started dating about 4 or 5 years ago and have been married about 2 or 3 years now. (I HOPE SHE DOSE NOT READ THIS! IF SO, SORRY! I should know the number a bit better then this!)

My wife and I both speak German (not sure that will do us any good in Switzerland)
I can speak a little Spanish, my wife can of course speak Spanish and English very well. We normally talk to each other in German.

We now have a dog we spoil (a Rhodesian Ridgeback he is 1 year old named Athos), no kids.

We are now full in moving mode and I have been reading and getting some helpful tips from every one. I’m sure there will be some questions coming and some ranting as well.
