The argument is simple: The phone is a tool that generates money for the provider. Without that tool they don't make money off you. Threaten to move to another provider, and if you're a good client and you'll find you have plenty of bargaining power. | |

I'm worth more that 300chf/month to them, I generally find Orange in Switzerland pretty unaccommodating though. In the UK they used to send me loads of free stuff.
