Re: Bagels in Coop, Bern

So I was pretty excited about the arrival of sesame Bagels in Coop in June... Sad I know!

But I was sceptical... I wondered whether there arrival coincided with the Football celebrations but people around me kept reassuring me they were here to stay...

However.... I noticed that the 'best before' dates of these bagels was always the same (I'm fanatical about this because Coop's 'Best before' reputation is bad).... even sadder... I'm sorry

Anyway... I asked last week where the bagels were and to my surprise.... or not so surprise, the shop assistant told me they were only stocked during the Euro 2008 cup

My question is... 'Why would people only eat Bagels whilst watching Football?' and does anyone know where else I can buy bagels?
Yesterday they had many packages of these bagels at Coop in Würenlingen reduced by 50%. The sell by date was August 4. So I guess that is the end of the lot. Pity as they weren`t too bad if toasted. The bagels are made in Germany by a company called Aldente.
