Re: Many dead in Madrid plane crash

There has not been a serious airliner crash in Europe for several years past. Given the potential for things to go wrong it is very safe indeed.

A week ago, my parents were also in a plane that had to come back to Madrid from the company TAM (they were going to Sao Paulo, its a brazilian airline). One of the engines caught fire. They freaked out so bad. I hope everything goes well when they come back.

I wonder what is happening to airlines lately...are they cutting costs and taking too many risks? It's not really the low-cost that are having those accidents...Spanair is a good carrier and so is TAM (supposedely).

I am sad...My heart is with the families...
