Re: Consumer suport for teleshoping in Swiss

Hello there,

Well...... I could add some insights why I believe that Teleshopping is one of the most stupid things to do with your money, but I shall abstain from that.... (unless you want to give your hard earned cash to Mike Shiva??)

As for consumer protection, there are a couple of companies or foundations that might provide help (never used them myself), they should all be in German only though:
http://www.ktipp.ch/ - Magazine and TV show
http://www.konsumentenschutz.ch/
or of course www.beobachter.ch

I don't have closer information, nor could I provide you with more insight (sure somebody else here can), but I wish you good luck with your quest...

PS: If you want to get the best price possible for something you have seen/taken a fancy to, try www.toppreise.ch and you shall find the best deal, mostly... - the crap they try to sell on Teleshopping is usually not worth the postage (in my opinion!).

Cheers
Alain

Hi every one,

I need help against teleshoping forgers.

I ordered a vegetable chopper from a TV add. The payment option is to pay at post with 3fr service charge.

The cost is broken as this
The chopper with 4 blades 95CHF
Additional 2 Blades 17CHF
Postage 12CHF
Handling Charge 3CHF

So the total was 127CHF approximately not more than 130CHF.

At the end the invoice I got is for CHF163.30 with 30CHF Postage charge and 15CHF additional handling. Even worse is they have sent me a different (a chopper not useful at all) item not the additional blades.

I phone them up and asked about this. They explained that they are ran out of additional blade so its been replaced by this additional chopper for the same cost.

So all in all I have not received what I ordered and even paid 30% more than I should have.

I had a very big argument with this idiots and the result is the can either
  • Get me the additional set of blades for the cost of additional CHF30
  • Or I can return the item but I have to pay the both postage (CHF30 + CHF 15).
I really want to take this legally and teach these forgers a lesson. Any body know any organisations in Swiss that I can go to (Like consumer Direct in UK).

Or any had same kind of experiences???

Regards
Raj
