Spiders that bite. Anyone else experienced them in Switzerland?

Says it all in the title actually. Last night when putting our daughter to bed, she rolled over and screamed. I told her not to be silly and go to sleep. She said she been got by a thorn, I repeated my advice not to be silly. She moved and I saw a small spider (around 1cm in total) scuttling away. I picked it up and it got me too. She had a very obvious local hystemine reaction, a white lump on her wrist, as I was bitten on my thumb there was nothing to see but it did smart a bit.
