Re: Vineyards in Switzerland/France

In switzerland, the best wine making region is the Valais. The place is usual quite sunny, with high mountains and quite a few places to visit. If you go there, you can taste a wide selections of wine from the valais in the city of Sierre : It is called 'chateau de villa'.
If you are headed in France, then Alsace is the obvious choice for white wines (Not the reds). And to see the most beautiful villages and taste many wine, I suggest you follow 'la route des vins'. If you are rather keen on reds, than I suggest you go to burgundy (too expensive for what it's worth) or better 'la vallee du rhone' if it's not too far away.
