I know what you mean. I have been to the Gaswerks a couple of times now. With a friend to start with and we had a good time and enjoyed it a lot. Have been on my own a couple of times since (using the auto belayer I can climb alone) but it is not the friendliest of places, too big for that.
I'm used to a small wall/school back home and if you go along there and have no one to climb with you soon pick up a buddy.

Let me know if you find somewhere else or if you want to go to the Gaswerks one afternoon when it's a bit quieter! I'm not the most experienced of climbers but can do the usual climbs and belay. Up to a 5c in there. Have done higher in UK but have a feeling they grade differently after seeing a 7a here!
Hey Joe,

I won't have a car until the first week of October. Until then, I can get to Milandia (http://milandia.kletterzentrum.com/home.php) by public transport pretty easily if you'd like to try to go there sometime... I am also quite interested in the minimum bouldering palce. I live on the other side of the See but its definitely accessable to me now. My options will open up a lot when I get my car so let me know! I am honestly unfamiliar with the Euro climbing scale but I was getting on 5.9-5.10 in the USA before I came. I havent climbed in about 3 months though so we'll see where I am... I can do the standard belay stuff and lead an occasional sport route.

Cheers,
Kimberly
