The questions are the litmus test of these sorry times.
Deposit your $$$ w/ Raiffeisen. It's a Cooperative bank and they don't take any of the stupid risks that UBS + CS took.
BTW and FWIW I do not work for Raiffeisen - it's just that in these recent months I have taken to like this little stodgy provincial (at least down here) bank. It's the lifeline to the local economy, funded by locals, managed by locals. You can always count on them to extend a couple hundred for a small public event, and their mortgage rates are fair.
BTW a video comment on FT.com suggested that the banks of the future will be more of the "raiffeisen" variety and less Gordon Gekko fiefdoms...
