Thanks for the clarification. Rather ironic fedex has to ultimately rely on good old post offices to carry out its last-mile-billing! *smile*

I called Fedex. Given the Fedex account number is US and the charges are all going to that account, she said the account will be billed and that it will take 2-4 weeks to figure out the billing!!! I will call them again and check out how much the charge was.
I am doing this as I am concerned Fedex could charge us back for any amount without any oversight/validation on this end, the receiving end.
The oddest part is that there were 5 items all under one shipment but they opened only one.
