| Hi, I'm new to this forum and to Zurich. I'm looking for an international school to send my kids to. They're all quite expensive but my kids only know English at the moment so I'm shopping and asking around about the international schools in the area.
I've come across some talk about problems at the Swiss International School next to Glattzentrum. It's been suggested that there's quite an exodus of teachers leaving lately because of problems with management and that the school sells itself as being more than it really is. For instance it's website says there are many open teaching jobs because of "an increase in enrolments" but I've heard that they are not new positions at all.
I know you can never trust all rumours and assume to know about the inner workings of an organisation, but am curious if anyone's heard of the staff and parent unhappiness that I've encountered in my recent 'shopping'.
Cheers, John | |

My son goes to International school since 2 years and we are very happy with the education , teachers and the atmosphere at the school.
Teachers are very dedicated. Many of my friends kids are also in Wallisellen international school and they are happy.
The enrollment had definately gone up.
Some teachers have quit...in the recent past, finding a new job could be various reasons. many have decided to move to home country. Typlical reason a Expat would answer.
