You can visit a doctor here without health insurance any time. You have to pay the bill even if you had health insurance so there is little difference. Depending on what type of insurance you get, you will have some or all or none of your doctors visits reimbursed after you have paid the bill... It usually takes about 3 months before you will see the money from the health insurance company but you'll get used to it
