| Re: Coffee beans -mail order or place close to Lausanne?
Thanks for the fast replies! Yes, I've tried to google and found a few shops (most of them in Zurich). None of them sell the pure beans that I want. I did not know about the museums, they look interesting, but at the first glance they do not have the beans either, only blends.
It is amazing that this relatively small country has two museums devoted to coffee and in any appliances shop one can find at least a dozen of coffee machines. Yet there are no coffee roasters, people seem happy to use only beans from Migros/Coop where the majority of blends have tons of Robusta in them. Kind of strange?
Uncle Max, I think I've read quite a few threads on this forum devoted to coffee, but most of them are discussing which Nespresso coffee machine to buy. I could not locate a single thread from people who make their own blends from freshly roasted beans (I am not even mentioning that I could not locate any discussion about roasting). While my preferences may seem superfluous, I do have strong likes and dislikes in terms of beans, their freshness and roasts. And I like to have a nice cup of coffee early in the morning, in my own kitchen. I would be very grateful if you could direct me to any thread I missed.
