| If you boil the cans, make sure you use an old pot as the glue from the paper will stick to the sides as a very sticky residue that I have to be able to remove. I actually prefer boiling the tubes because of this.

Don't the plastic screw-caps get a tad soft from the (long-immersion) heat?!
But I can appreciate the tidiness of squeezing out the resulting caramel from a tube.
