Re: Looking for bicycle for 2 yr old child

I would also recommend a pedal-less bike.
We bought the same bike as from Veloplus, but from Bea

It costs Sfr 78 normal price, but with points that you can collect from many various places (http://www.bea-verlag.ch/bea/punkte.aspx - my favourite being Tamoil petrol station if you have one close by - they have 500 points at the top of the receipt).
Bea also has pedals that can be attached to the bike. We haven't used ours yet, but I find it a good system as the child learns to balance without pedals, and then you shouldn't need stabalizers when you want to try out the pedals. If it doesn't work, take off the pedals again and try again in a month or so...
If you're set on a wooden bike Bea also has one for SFr 48. Note though that you can't change the seat height on most wooden bikes.
