| I only started skiing last year on carpet/button lift nursery slopes (very basic), took a couple of private lessons. I might make Flumserberg on Saturday so I'll spend maybe 1/2 hour to 1 hour on the carpet lift, but I'd like to then try one of the D lifts above.
- As a beginner are those lifts easy to use - i.e. would I need anyone to show me what to do?
- Are they for 1 or 2 people? My wife will be with me, but not sure if she'll be ready for this
- Can I get off half way up the slope if I think it's going to be too much?

Assuming that the T lifts at Flumserberg work like the T lifts everywhere else in the world, the answers are "easy, two, and yes (but make sure you can move out of the way quickly when you do that)".
Just look at how the others do before you try getting on one (make sure to point your skis in the right direction before you grab hold of the anchor, and avoid getting hit by one. Better let one or two go than fall over the first thing you do). Try not to zigzag when going uphill, and be a bit careful when you're getting off so you or the anchor won't hit anyone else when you let go of it.
When in doubt, ask for help. You just need to do it a couple of times to figure out how it works. And trust me, there's always someone nearby who's a bigger newbie than you are
