Have a look at my super sausage calendar - and tell me which is your favourite??
I can't understand the Swiss preoccupation with Cervelat - horrible pink mushed-up stuff.
The "bio" one is just as bad, but a bit more murky brown in colour - yuk!!
Grilling the things makes them almost palatable.....
You have hit a big pet-peeve of mine. I always tell the Swiss this joke "in 700 years, you have only come up with 2 kinds of sausages, a red one and a white one". Similarily, only 2 kinds of salad dressings are standard: a red one (italian) and a white one (French). Is it a coincidence that these are the colors of the Swiss flag? Ok, maybe an exageration, but in general still true. Oh, how I long for a Polish sausage! Or a kielbasa! give me a sweet italian or spicy Chorizo!! Or a Münchner Weisswurst with sweet mustard! Honestly, in a Wurst-addicted country like Switzerland, why the lack of variety??
