Keep in mind that if you are talking about things like Sky Sports, Sky Movies etc, these are only available as packages from Sky, so you would need a Sky subscription, card and digibox.
However as AbFab says, you can get all the FTA channels using any receiver for no fee - you just won't get the Sky subscription ones.
