I think it rather depends on how many hours of teaching are being given for this amount. Four Saturdays - normal ski school would be two hours in the morning and two in the afternoon each time. Then it doesn't sound so bad.
However, I'm not sure how many absolute beginners want to start now anyway, towards the end of such a super snowy winter! If one was keen to take up the sport, one will have done so already - especially members of a Forum where people have been going to the pistes together.
