In Switzerland the choice of having an au pair is more of the employment issue rather than the person themself. You have to employ the au pair like a company employs an employee, so there is loads of beurocracy just getting the permit. Also you are limited to the nationality of the au pair.
We pay our au pair CHF250 / week
Then we pay their tax, social health and accident insurance and do their tax return.
You also have to consider language school, our Kanton wanted the au pair to attend 120 hours of German classes per year, which you should pay for.
We fully interact with our au pair and treat her as one of the family.
There is an au pair nanny thread on the forum. PM me if you want.
Au pair agencies in Switzerland cost.
We have had difficulty finding au pairs.
